But I couldn’t have accomplished half of what I did without all of my colleagues, past and present. Our talented team of writers, editors, web site development guys, production team, on screen reporters, Human Resources, Accountants, everyone. To all of those I met at the handful of conferences I attended before Covid-19 sent everything to digital, and all of those I met over email or Zoom since, it was a pleasure to meet you. I’m still not 100% sure what I’ll be doing next, but I suspect it will still be in the gambling industry. This has been my life for more than a decade, and it’s an industry I continue to love and appreciate. As someone with a naturally curious mind, I found this frustrating. However, in a short period of time, I have seen positive changes. Recent regulatory shifts and an increasingly competitive landscape are pushing companies to innovate, and those unwilling to adapt are being left behind.
Not only has this made the industry a hotbed of innovation, but it’s also created an ideal environment for growth for those with cross-industry experience. Ideas from outside are now being welcomed, with companies finally embracing proven concepts from other sectors.
I may have started life in the industry as an outsider, but that is far from the case now. Those initial conferences were frightening, but they pushed me to meet people, and what I discovered was an industry built on community.

This season, the two teams have only met once in competition, with a drab 0-0 draw at an empty Old Trafford all that has taken place to date between the two great rivals of the Premier League era.
With it being Thomas Tuchel’s first taste of the bizarrely feisty fixture – before the turn of the Millennium, there was little to suggest this would develop into any kind of fierce rivalry – this is sure to be a decent game.
Tuchel’s Chelsea have a new-found belief and that has been married with a strong defence in recent games. The issue has been goals, with a distinct lack of them so far, although that might change at the weekend. United have looked good going forward this season – no team has scored more than the Red Devils in domestic fixtures – but at the back they look almost inept at times. Newcastle opened them up on several occasions and while Chelsea aren’t the league’s great entertainers, we can see them causing United a deal of problems. For that reason, we’d go with the over 3.5 goals price.
